This came to me in a dream I had a few nights ago.
Start with 1d4 main characters and 1 antagonist, then decide on the number of episodes this season has (1d10+10 if you can't decide). Most episodes the main characters encounter a problem which they then solve, in addition roll twice on the following table for the highlights of the episode. During the first half of the season roll with d20, for the second half roll with d30, and for the final episode roll with d10+20.

- An antagonist is one step closer to completing their plan
- A main character almost dies

- The main characters face a setback
- The main characters are one step closer to completing their goal
